Accessibility Statement

1.Our Commitment to Digital & Aviation Accessibility

Prop Culture Aviation & Maintenance LLC (“Prop Culture Aviation”) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities, as well as fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment at our flight training and aircraft maintenance facilities at Olympia Regional Airport (KOLM).

Aviation is a discipline founded on safety, precision, and open pathways to flight. We continually improve the user experience for all digital visitors, applying relevant accessibility standards including the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

2.Conformance Standards & Technical Specifications

Our website is built using modern semantic web technologies (HTML5, WAI-ARIA, CSS3, and modern React) to facilitate seamless navigation with assistive devices, such as screen readers, voice recognition software, magnifiers, and switch access devices.

Key Digital Features Implemented:
  • High Contrast Ratios: Contrast levels between text elements and container backgrounds engineered to exceed WCAG 2.1 AA benchmarks (4.5:1 for body copy).
  • Keyboard Operability: Comprehensive tab sequence, visible focus outlines, and skip-to-content links enabling full navigation without a pointing device.
  • Descriptive Alt Text: Meaningful visual text alternatives for fleet aircraft, cockpit instrument layouts, campus maps, and maintenance illustrations.
  • Responsive Scalability: Fluid typography and flexible containers that adapt gracefully up to 200% zoom without horizontal overflow or overlapping elements.
  • Semantic Structure: Hierarchical heading structures (H1 through H4) and ARIA attributes for interactive controls, accordions, modals, and tabbed menus.

3.Physical Facility Accessibility at Olympia Regional (KOLM)

We believe in equal access on the ground as well as in the air. Our flight operations center, briefing rooms, and administrative spaces in Suite M-1 at Olympia Regional Airport adhere to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards:

Ground-Level Ramp & Briefing Access

Step-free access to our dispatch desk, ground school classrooms, flight planning kiosks, and flight simulator bays.

Designated Accessible Parking

Reserved ADA parking stalls with marked access aisles located directly in front of the Suite M-1 passenger entrance.

FAA Medical Accommodations & SODA Support: If you are pursuing flight training with a physical disability or unique medical circumstance, our flight instructors and aviation medical advisors can guide you through the FAA Statement of Demonstrated Ability (SODA) and Special Issuance medical certification processes.

4.Third-Party Portals & Service Providers

Certain services provided through our website link to specialized third-party aviation systems, including:

  • Flight Circle: Aircraft scheduling and pilot dispatch management.
  • FAA IACRA & MedXPress: Federal pilot certification and medical application portals.
  • Aviation Weather (NOAA / AviationWeather.gov): METAR/TAF meteorological feeds and radar maps.

While Prop Culture Aviation does not directly control the software architecture of third-party platforms, we actively advocate with our aviation technology vendors to support accessible user experiences. If you experience difficulty booking an aircraft or viewing scheduling data, our staff is available by phone and email to assist you directly.
